Detailed Story
Duluth students turned their downtown into a research laboratory through TCI’s inquiry-based approach. After collecting and analyzing data about urban litter, students collaborated with local stakeholders to develop practical solutions. They also participated in an adopt-a-beach program with the Great Lakes Alliance, initiated a waterway study and clean-up at Sawmill Creek, and students attended a Youth Climate Summit at the Capitol in Saint Paul. These projects demonstrate how young people can lead community environmental initiatives.
