Detailed Story

Students learned about coastal implications and local impacts of sea level rise. Latest research focused on mitigation efforts for coastal erosion. Trip to Charleston, SC included work with Sustainability Institute at Department of Natural Resources, learning about living shorelines, oyster reef rehabilitation, and planting Spartina grass.
