Climate Summit for Pre-Service Teachers
Event Details
Special Event
Wednesday, October 14th
In-person
11 Hills Beach Road, Biddeford, ME 04005
The Climate Initiative is partnering with the University of New England for an afternoon built around climate solutions.
How do you teach climate science without the doom? You teach solutions. One day, your students will turn to you with questions about climate change. This summit gives you the tools to meet them with confidence.

You’ll explore practical ways to talk about climate in your classroom, work through the Climate Emotions Wheel as a tool for supporting your students’ wellbeing, and take part in a fast-paced, energizing Rapid Prototyping Sprint, a solutions-oriented activity you can adapt for any grade level.
Walk away with real, ready to use materials and a toolkit of ideas for bringing climate education into your future classroom.

Coming from another school? You’re welcome here too.
Bring a friend from another program!
