Hello from Freeport High School! Melissa Luetje and her students have been doing incredible work in their Gulf of Maine Field Studies class and they’re eager to share their final projects. From partnering with the Freeport Conservation Trust to identify, help mitigate and monitor invasive hemlock woolly adelgid (HWA) on one of their properties to conducting invasive green crab data collection at Wolfe’s Neck Farm, the class has been busy this year making a positive impact on their school and community. Please find a sample of their work below! Have questions? Reach out to Melissa at luetjem@rsu5.org.
